Changing the lookups will only change the order of the drop-down and the order they appear on records.
The current process is to change the Primary check mark to the appropriate address when they seasonally come and go. Most address label reports and such should use whatever address is marked Primary.
So, I like to have Main be wherever they reside when they are here locally. Then use Winter, or PO Box, or School, or we have one called Field Address for missionaries, for when you want to have additional addresses. Which ever one is Primary is where they want their mail to go.
As a work-around to the date range like Shelby v5 had, you can put a recurring event on your calendar to update so-and-so's primary address. Fortunately, we only have a few and they tell us when they come and go.
