Restoring Groups in Group Trees

We created our annual list of groups and their members. Afterward, we realized that we didn't create the groups in their respective buckets. We had two tiers such as:

  • YEAR
    • Committees
    • Task Force
    • Exempt Committee

When we realized the mistake, I figured it would be easy enough to create the buckets and then move the groups. The Committees bucket had most of the groups so I renamed that one and moved it up a level. When I did that, I could no longer see all the groups anyomre.

How can I find the groups and move them into the respective bucket?

    Groups are a little extra complicated with their hierarchies and types. I'd recommend considering Tags for this, as their structure is much simpler and more flexible, unless there are features in Groups that you want to use for this that Tags doesn't have. Either way, you should be able to use Bulk Update to copy names over to where you want them to be. If a Group has seemed to disappear, you can try logging in as a Global Admin.
